Charity has a trust problem, and it earned it. Too many organizations have raised money in the name of the vulnerable and spent it on themselves. We believe the cure is not louder promises; it is open books.
That is why The People Union makes this commitment: every dollar we receive and every dollar we spend will be published on this page. Not summaries designed to flatter us: the actual numbers: donations and grants received, program spending, administrative costs, salaries, everything. Updated quarterly, for anyone to inspect, whether you gave $10 or $10,000, or nothing at all.
Because the young people we serve have been failed by institutions their whole lives, and the donors who fund us are trusting us with something sacred. We would rather publish an imperfect ledger than a perfect brochure. If you ever see something on this page you do not understand, write to us at thepeopleunion@yahoo.com, and we will answer, publicly if you wish.
[This section will hold the live financial reports as programs launch: e.g., ‘Q1 2027 Income & Expense Report (PDF)’]. As a newly launching organization, our first report will cover [period]. Until then, our formation documents and IRS determination letter are available on request.
